LA REINA ROSA

A short glass with one large round ice cube and lime slice with with a candied hibiscus flower and sprig of cinnamon as garnish, displaying a hibiscus tequila cocktail.

Ingredients

1 oz CASA J Tequila Blanco

2 oz chilled hibiscus tea

.5 oz piloncillo syrup

3 dashes cinnamon bitters 

Instructions

To create the hibiscus tea, also known as 'Agua de Jamaica,' place two cups of dried hibiscus flower into boiling water for 15 minutes. Let it cool and strain into a clear glass. Place all ingredients into a cocktail mixer with ice and stir for 20 seconds. Place a round of ice into a rocks glass, pour in ingredients and garnish with a candied hibiscus flower and a cinnamon sprig.

Adjustment

If you're craving a bit more sweetness, add 1 oz of piloncillo syrup.
