A LOOK INTO OUR HANDMADE PORCELAIN BOTTLES
Crafted in México with intention and impact.

CRAFTED WITH INTENTION
Our mission at CASA J is to develop and strengthen community through thoughtful, empowering collaboration. We not only wanted to craft an exquisite tequila from within, but also through our bespoke exterior.
ABOUT OUR ARTISANS
CASA J commissions world-renowned porcelain experts, Anfora Ceramica, to craft each and every one of our bespoke tequila vessels.
Located in the city of Pachuca, Hidalgo in central México, the Anfora team are state-of-the-art ceramic artisans who have been producing custom tableware since 1920.
"A PORCELAIN VESSEL HANDCRAFTED WITH INTENTION AND IMPACT."
CRAFTSMANSHIP WITH IMPACT
Anfora champions female entrepreneurs in México through a program that creates flexible, half-day roles for mothers, aligning to our commitment of supporting and empowering the female artisans of México.

THE PROCESS
Commissioning our porcelain bottles with Anfora meant no single bottle would be identical, as every bottle is handcrafted and unique.
At the start of our process, the CASA J team produced a hand-drawn silhouette for our bottle, which Anfora transformed into a 3D rendering. From then onwards, the bottle began to take its shape.
"NO SINGLE BOTTLE IS IDENTICAL."
To begin production, Anfora artisans craft a ceramic mold custom in the shape of the CASA J bottle, hand-perfecting each and every detail.

THE ELEMENTS TAKE SHAPE
Once the mold is finalized, wet clay enters the mold to rest for 24 hours. When the clay has solidified, the mold is re-opened and the bottles are ready to enter the kiln.

HEAT AS ALCHEMY
The CASA J Tequila bottles enter a kiln heated at approximately 2250°F to cook for eight to ten hours. Following firing, our bottles cool down for another eight to ten hours to allow the porcelain to fully vitrify. Our CASA J bottles are being born.

AN ELEMENTAL GLAZE
Following the firing, artisans spray several coats of our custom magnesium-rich glaze onto every bottle before allowing them to rest and dry for an additional 8 hours. As a fun fact, the magnesium in our custom glaze is the element that produces the darker-toned speckling on each vessel.

A STAR IS BORN
Following a process of thorough inspection, the CASA J Tequila bottle is ready to be packaged and delivered to our distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico to be filled with CASA J Tequila Blanco Ensemble before heading to the city we call home, The Big Apple.
REGIFT & REPURPOSE
Our intention was to craft a bottle that could last — a vessel to be repurposed and even gifted, post-tequila enjoyment.
"CRAFTED FOR CONTINUOUS PLEASURE."
Try using your bottle as a vase with flowers or a candleholder. It can also be used as a water or olive oil decanter, and our founder often creates mixed drinks in the vessel to take to friends' homes as house warming and party gifts.
We're so grateful for our artisans, and we hope these bottles offer you as much joy as we share in crafting them.
